Job Description

  • Permanent part-time: Mon - Fri 5 hours per day

The organisation

The Wests Group Australia operates a multi-site portfolio of entertainment and hospitality venues across the Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Port Stephens Regions. The role & required experience

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the role will be responsible for the day-to-day financial functions of The Knights and will suit an experienced professional that is highly self-motivated, have excellent communication and organisation skills and strong attention to detail.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation and management of end of month workpapers
  • Bank reconciliations
  • General ledger reconciliations
  • Accounts receivable
  • Assistance with collation of data for the likes of FBT returns
  • Review and recording of POS transactions including online sales
  • Assist accounts payable functions at end of month.

The role will suit a candidate with experience in a similar role who would relish the opportunity to work in a part-time capacity. You will enjoy taking ownership of the role and have the ability to work autonomously but contribute as part of a team environment as well. Ideally the successful candidate will be available for permanent part-time employment Monday through to Friday at 5 hours per day. However, a 4-day week with 6 hours per day may be available.
