Let us first tell you more about our client. PBE Rutherford, part of the PBE Group, is a global heavy industry and technology company. PBE Rutherford's Australian operation is based out of a Tomago Head Office and they were previously known as Rutherford Global Power. They have a 30+ year history of supplying specialised electrical services to the coal mining and tunnelling industries directly and through third party OEMs. PBE Rutherford have a client base of long term, established relationships but are also confident that there are prospective clients in coal and metalliferous mining across NSW, as well as third party OEMs, that they could be providing their specialised services to.
And that is where you come in! This recently created position of Business Development Manager will work across the NSW coal and metalliferous mining regions to expand on already existing relationships, as well as introduce PBE Rutherford for the first time. There is also opportunity of building ongoing relationships with OEMs.
You will be responsible for leading the growth of sales across NSW for overhaul and manufacturer of flameproof electrical equipment and electrical solutions.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Identifying opportunities where the business can add value to customers by promoting services, projects and products
- Working closely with Estimators and Engineers to prepare quotations and tender submissions and then present these to your clients to win business
- Monitoring the successful execution of scope of works and ensure client satisfaction
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets
Your strategic sales and business development capability will put you in a prime position to hit the ground running. A reasonable level of knowledge of HV electrical is preferred, however more in-depth technical knowledge can be provided by PBE Rutherford.
As we are seeking an individual with a high degree of technical based business development experience, the salary package will be strong and a company motor vehicle provided. Travel will be required across NSW mining locations.
