Your commercial sensibility, strong stakeholder management, exceptional quality assurance and management of site safety, accompanied with your experience and ambition, will help win you this role. Managing the technical aspects, budgeting, resourcing and planning of the project, will ensure timely and safe execution and your ability to deliver with confidence, motivating others, will ensure projects are delivered meeting and managing all expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program management, resourcing personnel, materials and equipment to deliver to works

  • Reporting the program to the Project Manager to ensure it aligns with the contractual program.

  • Prepare procurement documentation to pass on to the Procurement Manager

  • Assist the Project Manager/Senior Project Engineer in the preparation of agreed variations.

  • Attend all site meetings and ensure the client expectations are met, building the relationship with the client superintendents through the quality process.

  • Deliver projects safely, attending toolbox and prestart meetings.

  • Develop and implement the integrated project management plan.

  • Vett, audit and enforce sub-contractors safety performance.

  • Maintain all quality assurance inspections, test plan and testing documentation as per contract requirements.

  • Capture all non-conformance reports including rework costs and systems are put into place to prevent reoccurrence.

  • Manage drawing and request for information registers as required.

  • Undertake dilapidation surveys on all projects prior t acceptance of site.

About you
We are seeking candidates who have:

  • Tertiary education in Civil Engineering or equivalent

  • 3+ years relevant construction experience.

  • Sound understanding of typical construction specifications used in the NSW construction industry, including NSW Roads Specifications.

  • Knowledge of Expert Estimation and Jobpac preferred but not essential.

  • Be able to work remotely on-site within NSW.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Effective interpersonal communication and proven ability to lead a team.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with strong commercial acumen.

  • Proactive safety culture and ability to engage and empower workforce.

  • A proven ability to prioritise, manage time, meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • Ability to operate in an environment of accountability, autonomy and reliability.
