Job Description

Customer Service Officer (Multiple)

We’re working in collaboration with two large organisations in the Maitland and Newcastle region, who are seeking experienced Customer Service Officers to join their teams on a temporary, full-time basis.

Both clients are community-focused, with values that align with providing a first-class customer approach. Working within a fast-paced, high-volume call centre, you will be the first point of contact for their customers, providing solution-based results and a friendly voice to all.

With commencement dates of early July, through to early August, we’re seeking candidates who are ready to go and aren’t afraid to commit themselves to the opportunity.

So, what do I need to know?
Below is a small snapshot of the duties at hand as both organisations have a slightly different customer base requiring slightly different skill sets which we’ll chat you through should you express your interest!

  • Listen and understand customer inquiries, providing accurate and timely information.

  • Triage and allocate workflow using CRM systems and managing customer expectations on the resolution timeframes.

  • Provide advice, process payments, and manage multiple inquiries across a broad range of divisions internally.

  • Ensure operational efficiency by adhering to best practices, policies, and procedures in alignment with KPI Targets

  • Commit to personal and professional development through training and staying updated on relevant processes and procedures.

  • Operate within compliance, risk, and legislative frameworks, utilising internal systems for accurate record-keeping.

Other important things to note:

  • Commencement dates from early July and early August, dependent on the organisation you are most suited toward and choose to progress with.

  • Both organisations are seeking candidates who have some level of experience in a call centre environment or a fast-paced administrative or customer service-based role.

  • Locations include Maitland CBD or Newcastle CBD, both with a requirement to be on-site and in the office

  • Both organisations are seeking candidates who can and are willing to work full-time hours, up to 35 hours each week.

  • Most importantly, a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service in what can sometimes be an ever-changing environment.
