About the company
Since 1977, Jenny's Place has provided crisis and transitional accommodation, support, early intervention and prevention programs, outreach support and community education to women and children experiencing domestic violence and homelessness in our local community. Their programs deliver integrated case management to assist clients to obtain and maintain safe, affordable housing and referral to appropriate wrap around services to meet individual client needs.

About the opportunity
This is a key leadership role within the Outreach Specialist Homelessness Service (SHS) team, responsible for leading a small team of Caseworkers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support services. You’ll play a hands-on role – providing leadership, mentoring and oversight, while also maintaining a small caseload to stay connected to the frontline. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front, building a positive team culture, and driving continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading, supervising and supporting a team of outreach caseworkers
Providing guidance on complex and high-risk cases
Facilitating case reviews, allocation and reflective supervision
Monitoring service delivery to ensure best practice and compliance
Maintaining oversight of reporting, data and program performance
Supporting continuous improvement across systems, processes and practice
Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and referral partners
Maintaining a small caseload of complex clients

About you
You are a confident and values-driven leader with experience managing a small team, who brings a positive, proactive approach and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.
In addition, we are looking for:
Experience in a similar type of leadership role within community services (SHS experience highly regarded)
Strong understanding of trauma-informed, person-centred and strengths-based practice
Experience supporting or overseeing case management and complex client needs
The ability to lead, mentor and develop a team in a supportive and accountable way
A proactive, positive attitude with a focus on team culture and outcomes
Strong organisational, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills
A qualification in Community Services, Social Work or a related field (Diploma or above) is required, along with a current driver’s licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
