About the Company
Our client is a specialist engineering and manufacturing business delivering complex infrastructure and energy projects across the mining, tunnelling, and power generation sectors. Known for their technical depth and practical delivery, they design, build, and commission large-scale electrical and automation systems that support critical industry operations. About the Role
This full-time permanent position will see you play a key part in delivering large-scale mining and energy projects, with responsibility for maintaining technical accuracy, quality, and compliance across all phases. Working closely with the Project Manager, you’ll provide technical backup, manage subcontractor performance, oversee design QA, and ensure quality standards are upheld on site throughout mobilisation, construction, and commissioning.
The position can be based from the Tomago (NSW) or Mackay (QLD) office, depending on where you call home. It involves heavy site involvement during mobilisation, construction, and commissioning, while engineering and procurement phases are primarily office-based.

Key Responsibilities
Support the Project Manager across all project stages, from engineering through to commissioning
Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards
Conduct technical and design QA reviews and maintain detailed project documentation
Provide on-site support during mobilisation, construction, and commissioning phases
Coordinate with internal engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project objectives are met
Monitor progress, identify risks, and contribute to quality assurance and project reporting
Skills and Experience
Degree or trade qualification in Engineering (Electrical preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of Australian site-based experience in a similar role
Strong understanding of local work practices, safety systems, and construction environments
Proven experience in subcontractor coordination, technical QA, and documentation control
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with attention to technical detail
Preference for candidates seeking long-term stability and professional growth
Candidates with international experience are welcome to apply, provided they have at least 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar Australian role
