Job Description
High-visibility role partnering directly with senior leaders
Hands-on, commercially focused accounting with real business impact
Supportive, down-to-earth culture with flexibility and trust
We are seeking a commercially minded Senior Accountant to join the Finance team at Lingard Private Hospital. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role that plays a critical part in supporting leaders across the hospital and contributing to strong financial outcomes.
This role will suit someone who enjoys being visible in the business, building trust with stakeholders, and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
About the role
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will work closely with hospital leaders, department managers and the central finance team to deliver accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting. You’ll be involved across the full accounting cycle, with exposure to budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure and operational analysis.
While structure and accuracy are essential, success in this role comes from your ability to build strong relationships, communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders and take a practical, solution-focused approach.
What you’ll be doing
Partnering with leaders across the hospital to support financial decision-making
Preparing monthly financial reports, scorecards and analysis
Supporting budgets, forecasts and weekly reporting cycles
Managing balance sheet reconciliations and internal controls
Monitoring capital expenditure and asset reporting
Providing ad-hoc analysis and insights to the Executive team
Working collaboratively with the central finance function
What we’re looking for
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting (CPA/CA desirable)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
A hands-on, adaptable mindset with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust across diverse teams
Experience in healthcare or large, complex environments will be highly regarded
Why join Lingard
Genuine team culture – collaborative, supportive and down-to-earth
A role where relationships really matter and your impact is visible
Flexibility that comes with trust and strong performance
Exposure to a complex and meaningful healthcare environment
Opportunity to grow your skills and influence within a respected hospital
