About the opportunity
Reporting to the Store Manager, the role of Sales Representative will see you managing existing customers whilst developing new business opportunities. You will identify trends and customer needs, build a sales pipeline, and develop strategies to secure new business. You will also assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies to achieve strategic goals.

Based at the Newcastle store, the opportunity is open to a competitive, results-driven person who ideally possesses product knowledge within the construction, industrial and fasteners industry. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate new business activities, including lead generation and managing relationships with current and prospective customers

  • Meet KPI’s regarding sales calls, appointments, and interviews with the aim of meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Maintain a sales database and pipeline

  • Collaborate with the Store Manager for sales forecasting and development of strategic business and accounts

  • Respond to customer inquiries with a solutions-based approach

  • Assist on the sales counter at the Newcastle store as required

  • Ensure adherence to Workplace Health & Safety requirements and other policies

About you
The successful candidate will possess experience within a similar environment, hold a current driver’s license and have demonstrated experience working as a results-driven sales representative. You will be a persuasive and goal-orientated person and have the ability to work autonomously and meet sales targets.

We are looking for someone who can build and maintain relationships as well as keep up-to-date records in a CRM system. A willingness to be part of our great team environment and contribute to the overall success of the business will be essential.
