About the opportunity
Reporting to the Store Manager, the role of Sales Representative will see you managing both existing customers whilst developing new business. You will identify trends and customer needs, build a short/medium/long term sales pipeline in accordance with operational targets, develop strategies for new business and assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies that achieve strategic goals.
Based at the Newcastle store, the opportunity is opened to a competitive, results-driven person who ideally processes product knowledge within the construction, industrial and fasteners industry. Key responsibilities include:
Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customised targeted sales strategies
Building business relationships with current and potential customers
Understanding customer needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential customer questions and follow-up enquiries
Collaborating with the Store Manager to secure, retain, and grow accounts
Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospective clients and their information
Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential customers; closing sales and working with the customer through the closing process
Meeting all quotas for cold calls, active accounts, appointments, and interviews; meeting or exceeding annual sales goals
Maintaining a pipeline of all sales administration using CRM software
Collaborating with the Store Manager on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short and long-term business development plans
Assisting within the store as required
Ensuring adherence to Workplace Health & Safety requirements and other Policies

About you
The successful candidate will possess experience within a similar environment, a current drivers licence, demonstrated experience working as a results driven Sales representative, a persuasive and goal-orientated personality and the ability to work autonomously.
