About the role
This is a key role driving reliability across critical rollingstock assets. As the Asset Reliability Lead, you’ll take ownership of how asset strategies are developed, maintained and translated into effective maintenance and capital planning. Working closely with teams across Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and Projects, you’ll be the go-to expert for the organisation’s EAM system, optimising workflows, guiding system use and leading improvement initiatives. This role suits someone who thrives on detail, knows how to turn data into action and enjoys influencing systems and strategy that have real operational impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and review asset class strategies across new and existing rollingstock assets
Act as the key user and SME for the enterprise asset management system (Hexagon EAM)
Analyse failure data to drive improvements in reliability and inform capital scoping
Lead the workflow improvement project within Hexagon EAM and champion system integration opportunities
Provide configuration governance to support project delivery and asset readiness
Mentor planners and maintenance staff on effective workflow and system use
Review and contribute to the maintenance work management standard across the business
Work collaboratively across disciplines to lift the maturity and consistency of asset reliability
Skills and Experience:
Background in maintenance or reliability engineering, with at least 3 years in a heavy industry environment
Strong experience using and configuring CMMS or EAM systems (Hexagon preferred but not essential)
Demonstrated understanding of maintenance planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement
Comfortable working with both engineering and operational teams to influence outcomes
Systems-thinker with excellent communication and documentation skills
Root cause analysis or investigation training (RCA, ICAM, etc.) desirable
Relevant trade qualification, diploma, or degree
