About the opportunity
Our client specialises in fluid power and handling systems for underground mining and tunnelling. They have grown from manufacturing hydraulic power packs to distributing renowned hydraulic pumps, valves, and transport systems. With an ISO9001 certified workshop and a strong Engineering Design team, they focus on specialised engineering projects and extensive machinery upgrades, maintaining a commitment to quality and innovation.
Our client is seeking a Project Scheduler, who will be a key player in ensuring the seamless execution of production planning and work order management. Your primary responsibility will be to guarantee that all sales orders for builds, repairs, and overhauls are processed and delivered on time, meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities;
Coordinate production workflow to ensure timely delivery.
Review work scopes and engineering drawings to identify requirements.
Analyse production specifications and plant capacity to optimize processes.
Develop and maintain production schedules, adjusting as necessary.
Monitor output and address any disruptions to minimize delays.
Collaborate with internal departments, suppliers, and contractors.
Prepare and update Gantt Charts using MS Project.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare and submit job status reports to senior management.

About You
Proven experience in a planning / scheduling role, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
Technical knowledge in a mechanical field.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Proficient in MRP/ERP systems.
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
