About the Company
Our client is a locally owned engineering business that supports underground mining operations across NSW and Queensland. With a workshop based in the Hunter and a reputation for delivering high-quality overhaul and hydraulic solutions, they work closely with OEMs and mine sites to keep equipment moving. Their approach is hands-on, practical, and built around reliability, safety, and fast turnaround times.
About the Role
As Overhauls Coordinator, you'll take ownership of coordinating and delivering overhaul projects in the workshop. While not a pure scheduling or planning role, you’ll still draw on those capabilities to manage timelines, resource planning, and parts procurement. The role offers autonomy and variety, working across multiple jobs with support from a capable team and strong supplier network.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the delivery of component overhauls and repairs within the workshop
Schedule work effectively, ensuring resourcing, timelines and parts align
Track parts orders and manage supplier relationships to avoid delays
Liaise with internal teams, contractors and customers to keep jobs on track
Maintain accurate job records and documentation
Ensure WHS procedures are followed and safety remains a priority on the floor
Lead workshop team members to deliver consistent quality outcomes
Identify areas for process improvement and contribute ideas for efficiency

About You
Previous experience coordinating work in a workshop, manufacturing, or heavy industry environment
Exposure to planning and scheduling tools (MS Project experience desirable, but not essential)
Previous experience in the mining sector, particularly underground mining, would be highly regarded
Knowledge of overhaul processes and hydraulic or mechanical components
Proactive and organised, with a collaborative approach
Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced setting with changing priorities
A positive attitude with strong communication and follow-through
