Be the driving force behind overhaul projects that keep underground gear running and production on track.

About the Company

Our client is a locally owned engineering business that supports underground mining operations across NSW and Queensland. With a workshop based in the Hunter and a reputation for delivering high-quality overhaul and hydraulic solutions, they work closely with OEMs and mine sites to keep equipment moving. Their approach is hands-on, practical, and built around reliability, safety, and fast turnaround times.

About the Role
As Overhauls Coordinator, you'll take ownership of coordinating and delivering overhaul projects in the workshop. While not a pure scheduling or planning role, you’ll still draw on those capabilities to manage timelines, resource planning, and parts procurement. The role offers autonomy and variety, working across multiple jobs with support from a capable team and strong supplier network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the delivery of component overhauls and repairs within the workshop

  • Schedule work effectively, ensuring resourcing, timelines and parts align

  • Track parts orders and manage supplier relationships to avoid delays

  • Liaise with internal teams, contractors and customers to keep jobs on track

  • Maintain accurate job records and documentation

  • Ensure WHS procedures are followed and safety remains a priority on the floor

  • Lead workshop team members to deliver consistent quality outcomes

  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute ideas for efficiency

Benefits

  • Full-time, stable role with a locally based employer

  • Competitive salary, aligned to experience

  • Scope to improve processes and take ownership of your role

  • Team BBQs, strong culture and approachable leadership

  • Supportive and collaborative team environment

About You

  • Previous experience coordinating work in a workshop, manufacturing, or heavy industry environment

  • Exposure to planning and scheduling tools (MS Project experience desirable, but not essential)

  • Previous experience in the mining sector, particularly underground mining, would be highly regarded

  • Knowledge of overhaul processes and hydraulic or mechanical components

  • Proactive and organised, with a collaborative approach

  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced setting with changing priorities

  • A positive attitude with strong communication and follow-through
