About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the delivery of specialised equipment and enclosures for major projects across power generation, resources, and infrastructure. This hands-on role will see you working from concept through to completion, collaborating with a team of engineers, project managers, and trades to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical systems and components for custom-built equipment and enclosures
Prepare detailed 3D models, drawings, and documentation for manufacturing
Support projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring technical and quality standards are met
Work closely with fabrication and production teams to resolve technical challenges
Liaise with project managers, suppliers, and clients to provide engineering support
Contribute to continuous improvement in design processes and standards
Skills and Experience
Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical design within manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industry
Strong skills in CAD (SolidWorks or similar) for 3D modelling and drafting
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Knowledge of fabrication processes, structural design, or enclosures (desirable)
