Over the past 40 years, Mosaic Multicultural Connections (Mosaic) has assisted people from migrant and refugee backgrounds and their communities across Newcastle, the Hunter, Lake Macquarie, the Central Coast, and New England.
Mosaic’s dedicated workforce of over 80 staff and hundreds of volunteers are passionate about supporting and inspiring culturally diverse people to overcome barriers and thrive. Mosaic supports people from over 70 countries and their multilingual workforce speaks, reads or writes over 40 languages!
About the opportunity & you!
This role will contribute to the development of Mosaic’s Marketing and Communications strategy and will lead the implementation to support Mosaic's mission and business objectives. The role is critical in implementing Mosaic's digital and web footprint and this will be one of the initial priorities. This is a stand-alone Marketing and Communications role, however will work closely with the other business leads to support successful operations.
Key duties include:
Actively contribute to content ideas and manage the creation, coordination and production of marketing and communications content, campaigns, and schedules.
Create original content (written, photographic and video) that is aligned with the organisation's marketing and communication strategies and objectives.
Manage and moderate social media accounts including planning and scheduling of social media content, designing social tiles, and community management.
Manage key internal communication channels, for example weekly e-newsletter, and intranet as well as supporting with the creation of other internal communication material such as presentations and announcements.
Respond to media inquiries and support the CEO and leadership team as required for example with speech writing and event support.
Candidates with tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communication or related discipline will be highly regarded. If this sounds like you, we would love to have a chat!
