Step into a key executive leadership position with Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group (NCIG) as their Manager Assets & Infrastructure, where you will lead the stewardship, performance and long-term strategy of critical terminal infrastructure assets.

About the opportunity

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and forming part of the Executive Leadership Team, the Manager Assets & Infrastructure provides strategic leadership across engineering, asset management and major projects.

The role is accountable for ensuring world-class lifecycle management of terminal infrastructure while balancing operational reliability, risk, cost and long-term asset sustainability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the engineering, assets and projects functions to ensure safe, reliable and efficient infrastructure performance

  • Developing and implementing long-term asset management strategies aligned with business objectives

  • Providing expert technical and strategic advice to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team

  • Overseeing business-critical capital and infrastructure projects

  • Driving continuous improvement and innovation across asset systems and processes

  • Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements

  • Managing whole-of-life asset planning, forecasting and cost optimisation

  • Building capability and alignment across multidisciplinary engineering and project teams

About you

You are a strategic and commercially astute engineering leader who combines deep technical expertise with executive leadership capability. You bring a long-term view of asset stewardship and thrive in complex, asset-intensive environments.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (essential)

  • Significant leadership experience within heavy industry, infrastructure, mining, processing or similar environments

  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary engineering or asset management teams

  • Experience delivering major capital or infrastructure projects

  • Strong commercial and risk management capability

  • Proven ability to influence at executive and stakeholder levels

  • A strong commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement

Experience managing large-scale dynamic or structural assets will be highly regarded.
