About the role
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the role of Management Accountant will ensure all financial and management accounting functions are executed for an entity within the Group and will assist in projects associated with business, process and system improvements for the Group.
As the lead Accountant for the entity, you will be responsible for:
Preparing monthly financial and management reports of the business
Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Statutory return acquittal including GST, PAYG, superannuation, FBT, group taxation, insurances and other emerging requirements
Preparing annual financial accounts and reports
Reporting on Government funded programs and preparing acquittals for grant funding
Generating reporting associated with analysis of financial performance against budget, KPIs and trend and variance.

The successful candidate will have operated across both financial and management accounting functions in a mid-tier organisation, be inquisitive, collaborate across the business and be focused on ongoing innovation and process improvement. The Management Accountant will have:
Approximately 5 years accounting experience with the desire for further career growth
Bachelor’s degree in either Accounting, Commerce or Business
CA/CPA (or close to completion)
Strong systems experience and a desire for continuous business improvement
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at various levels.
