Pitcher Partners Newcastle and Hunter is a leading accounting and advisory firm supporting a broad range of clients among the region, in a range of industries. With a team of 120 people across their Newcastle and Maitland offices, they are proud of the evolution of their team culture since a company merger took place nearly four years ago: considered one of inclusiveness and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

You will lead the strategic and operational delivery of a broad range of people initiatives that directly contribute to the firm’s culture and capability goals, including:
Designing and implementing firm-wide learning and development strategies.
Providing leadership across talent development, succession planning, and workforce capability uplift.
Coaching leaders and emerging professionals to build confidence and foster a growth-oriented mindset.
Overseeing performance frameworks that drive continuous feedback, clarity, and accountability.
Championing initiatives that promote psychological safety, engagement, and cultural alignment.
Managing operational HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, policy compliance, and employee relations, supported by a HR Coordinator.
Why Pitcher Partners?

They are large enough to provide breadth and opportunity; small enough to ensure your contribution is visible and valued. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact at a key moment in their growth journey – by investing in what matters most: their people.
Pitcher Partners Newcastle and Hunter is part of a national association of independent firms across Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle and Hunter, Perth and Sydney which provides you with an opportunity to collaborate with your peers in other locations as you share innovative ideas and success stories.
