Ronald McDonald House Charities, Northern NSW helps keep families of seriously ill or injured children together and close to the care their child needs. Each year they help thousands of families from across the northern NSW region by providing a home away from home so families can stay together. The highly respected and trusted charity is dedicated to making every day a bit brighter for those in need and relies on the generosity of the local community to operate.
  
About the opportunity
  
We are partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) to recruit a Grants Specialist to join their fundraising team. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Marketing, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting compelling grant proposals to secure funding that supports RMHC’s programs and strategic goals.
  
In this newly appointed role you will collaborate closely with program, finance, and development teams to translate outcomes and stories into proposals that inspire funders. The Grants Specialist will help maintain grant records, track deadlines, and support ongoing relationships with funders to maximise funding opportunities.
  
About you
  
You are a proactive, detail-oriented communicator with a passion for securing funding that enables life-changing programs. You thrive in a collaborative environment and can manage multiple grant applications while meeting tight deadlines.
  
We are also looking for:

  • Proven grant writing experience for nonprofit organisations, with a track record of successful funding applications

  • Excellent written, verbal, and research skills

  • Ability to translate program outcomes into compelling stories for funders

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or related field is desirable

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously
