About the Role
An opportunity now exists for an experienced Estimating & Bid Manager to lead the bid and estimating function for major projects. Reporting to the Projects Director, this role will coordinate all tenders, manage pricing through subcontractors and oversee wider tender schedules.
The position blends high-level bid coordination with detailed estimating and is ideal for someone who enjoys both the strategic and technical aspects of project delivery. You’ll lead and mentor a small team, currently including one direct report, with plans to expand as project activity grows.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate end-to-end tenders and bids
Lead estimating, cost build-ups and subcontractor pricing
Maintain tender schedules and ensure timely submissions
Work with internal teams to deliver competitive bids
Review drawings to identify risks and value opportunities
Drive process improvements across estimating and bidding
Support and guide a small, growing team
Skills and Experience
Estimating background in mining, electrical or infrastructure projects
Experience managing bids and tenders for large-scale work
Strong technical and project delivery knowledge
Contractor-side background preferred, client exposure beneficial
Confident communicator with solid stakeholder management
Proficient in Excel, CRM systems and continuous improvement focused
