About the opportunity and you!
The Director of Finance - APAC will be overall responsible for the accounting, treasury management, budgeting, relevant projects, financial compliance and yearly financial statements for the operating entities of Scenic within the APAC region. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll play a key role in the APAC Leadership Team.
This is a pivotal role for a finance leader who can combine strategic insight with operational excellence, while building and developing a high-performing regional team.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
Acting as a key member of the APAC Leadership Team, contributing to both strategic and operational decision-making.
Partnering with global finance leaders to ensure alignment of processes and reporting.
Leading, mentoring, and developing the Finance team across APAC, building capability and supporting succession planning.
Overseeing accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regional regulations.
Managing audits and liaise with auditors, regulators, and tax authorities to ensure deadlines are met.
Implementing and maintain accounting systems, automation, and process improvements.
Preparing monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial statements for APAC entities.
Developing and monitor finance policies and reporting frameworks, ensuring timely and accurate information is delivered to stakeholders.
Providing variance analysis and insights to guide business performance and financial decision-making.
Driving risk management and compliance initiatives across the APAC region.
Ensuring tax and financial compliance across the APAC Region
Enhancing internal controls, policies, and procedures to strengthen financial integrity.
Completing any additional projects as directed by the CFO.
To be considered for this exciting position we are seeking interest from candidates with:
10+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership position.
Proven experience leading finance functions in complex, multinational environments.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements across APAC jurisdictions.
Expertise in treasury management, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
Experience engaging with external stakeholders such as auditors, regulators, and tax authorities.
A track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams across multiple locations.
Strong understanding of cross-border finance operations and global business practices.
Ability to travel as required including internationally.
Industry experience in travel, hospitality, or services will be highly regarded.
