About the opportunity
NCIG is seeking a Contracts Specialist who is energised by working across an organisation, partnering with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, and translating legal knowledge into clear, commercially practical advice. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting the dots between contractual requirements, operational realities and risk-aware, business-friendly solutions.

Provide advice that goes beyond interpretation - applying judgement, commercial practicality and a solutions-focused mindset
Draft, review and negotiate a range of contracts, scopes and variations with an emphasis on transparency and risk mitigation
Strengthen NCIG’s contract frameworks and processes to support continuous improvement and future-ready practices
Build trusted relationships across the organisation where your guidance is sought early and often.
About you
You will be someone who thrives on helping others understand the “why” behind contractual requirements; someone who brings confidence, curiosity and a collaborative approach.
We are seeking candidates with:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in contract drafting and reviewing, contract management and commercial advisory ideally in a project, industrial or construction environment
Extensive experience managing complex contractual disputes and claims
Exceptional negotiation skills relating to costs, contract requirements, liability, and timetables
The ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple, practical and audience-relevant way
A proactive approach to partnering with stakeholders and contributing to a positive, solutions-led culture
Tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, or a related discipline.
Why join NCIG?
