Ronald McDonald House Charities, Northern NSW helps keep families of seriously ill or injured children together and close to the care their child needs. Each year they help thousands of families from across the northern NSW region by providing a home away from home so families can stay together. The highly respected and trusted charity is dedicated to making every day a bit brighter for those in need and relies on the generosity of the local community to operate.
  
About the opportunity
  
We are partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) to recruit a Community Engagement Manager. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Marketing, you will lead, grow, and deepen RMHC’s engagement with the community across Northern NSW.
  
The Community Engagement Manager will lead and mentor a high-performing team of Community Engagement Coordinators, build strong relationships with community groups, schools, clubs and individuals, plus oversee community fundraising initiatives. This role also acts as a local ambassador for RMHC, increasing awareness, participation, and financial support to contribute to sustainable income growth.
  
About you
  
You are a proactive and passionate community engagement professional with excellent relationship-building and communication skills. You thrive in a collaborative environment, can manage multiple projects, and are passionate about fostering community participation and support for a meaningful cause.
  
In addition you will have:

  • Proven experience in community engagement, fundraising, events, or stakeholder management

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff and volunteers. You may be an emerging or an established leader

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, community development, or related field are highly regarded

  • Knowledge of fundraising regulations, CRM systems (Salesforce), and peer-to-peer fundraising platforms would be advantageous
