Ronald McDonald House Charities, Northern NSW helps keep families of seriously ill or injured children together and close to the care their child needs. Each year they help thousands of families from across the northern NSW region by providing a home away from home so families can stay together. The highly respected and trusted charity is dedicated to making every day a bit brighter for those in need and relies on the generosity of the local community to operate.
About the opportunity
We are partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern NSW to recruit a part time (30 hours per week) Community Engagement Coordinator to join the team based at the Tamworth House.
This role is responsible for identifying, building and nurturing strong relationships with local community groups, schools, businesses, donors and supporters across the New England Northwest region which contributes to ongoing sustainable income growth. Acting as a key ambassador for Ronald McDonald House, you will coordinate community engagement and fundraising initiatives, support volunteer and awareness activities, and help grow Ronald McDonald House’s presence and impact locally.
This is a hands-on, outward-facing role that balances time at the Tamworth House with regular travel throughout the region, working closely with the House team and broader Ronald McDonald House Northern NSW team.

You are an energetic, people-focused professional who enjoys connecting with others and building long-term relationships. You are organised, proactive and comfortable working independently, while also collaborating with a broader team to achieve shared goals.
You are motivated by purpose-driven work and take pride in representing an organisation within the community.
We are also looking for:
Experience in community engagement, new business development, fundraising, partnerships or a similar role
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Confidence representing the organisation at community events and activities
A strong alignment with Ronald McDonald House values and mission
Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel intra-state
