About the Opportunity
This is an integral senior leadership role, that will lead the strategic and operational clinical and non-clinical functions of Hunter Primary Care. The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the leadership of a team of committed NDIS, Allied Health, Primary Care and Mental Health General Managers, as well as Concierge and Intake services leader.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will contribute to the growth of Hunter Primary Care as an important link in health care for the community, identifying commercially viable options whilst always remaining client focused and keeping the community’s health needs at the centre of all that you do.
This role will act as a key facilitator of stakeholder engagement with key partners including, the Primary Health Network, Hunter New England Health, as well as working with other current and potential funding partners to ensure viable outcomes and continued success.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing strategic and operational guidance and direction to a team of senior leaders across the client services functions including Mental Health Services, NDIS Services, Primary Care Services as well as senior administration and customer care teams.
Working with the CEO to identify key strategic projects and initiatives and formulate and execute plans to deliver on key strategic initiatives.
Identifying, building and maintaining key partnerships and relationships with a range of networks and organisations.
Identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining systems and processes to ensure optimal community health care interventions and outcomes.
Applying commercial and financial acumen to drive optimal outcomes.
Key Requirements
Proven senior leadership experience leading clinical services and health programs in complex and diverse organisations.
Demonstrated experience delivering strategic initiatives and linking high level strategy to operational business outcomes in line with objectives.
Ability to identify and leverage optimal business development opportunities and to apply commercial principles in a not for profit organisation.
Proven experience in corporate and clinical governance including preparing Board reports and presenting to a Board.
Strong financial acumen and management accounting literacy experience to drive efficiencies.
Proven senior leadership experience with the ability to engage, inspire and influence.
Proven ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of key stakeholders.
Experience in and a deep understanding of the primary health care sector.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as health or business administration.
Experience working in in both not for profit and for profile business sectors will be well regarded.
