About the Company
Our client is a well established provider of electrical and automation solutions for the mining and heavy industrial sectors. About the Opportunity
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an Automation Longwall Coordinator to lead the development and integration of automation systems across underground mining and materials handling operations. This role is critical in ensuring seamless automation processes within longwall operations and conveyor belt systems, driving efficiency, reliability, and performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the design and optimisation of automation systems for mining operations.
Act as the technical expert in longwall mining and conveyor belt automation.
Diagnose and resolve automation issues to improve efficiency and minimise downtime.
Work closely with clients and engineering teams to develop tailored automation solutions.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Identify and implement new automation technologies to enhance system performance.
Engage with clients to understand needs, provide technical guidance, and support business growth.
About You
Experience in automation, control systems, and electrical engineering within mining or heavy industries.
Strong knowledge of longwall mining automation and conveyor belt control technologies.
Proficiency in PLC/SCADA programming and industrial communication protocols.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and project coordination skills.
Degree or trade qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field (preferred).
