About the opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the Area Manager will lead and inspire a team of four Sales Executives, with a strong focus on coaching, development, and performance. Alongside building the capability of the team, you will also manage your own portfolio of accounts, balancing hands-on sales delivery with people leadership.
Based in Broadmeadow and covering the Greater Newcastle and Central Coast Region, you’ll work closely with builders, architects, and homeowners, ensuring the team provides tailored solutions while also identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading, coaching, and developing a team of four Sales Executives to achieve both individual and collective success
Driving accountability and results by setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback and support
Building and maintaining strong client relationships across new and existing accounts
Developing a strong pipeline by identifying and converting sales opportunities
Providing strategic product advice and solutions that meet customer needs
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery
Monitoring market activity and guiding the team to stay across industry trends and innovations

Proven experience in sales leadership, ideally within the building materials industry

Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for achieving and exceeding targets
A collaborative style, able to work independently while fostering team success
Authenticity, integrity, and a leadership style that inspires confidence and trust
