About the Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your combined people and data management skills. You will play a crucial role in realising HMRI’s vision that it will be easy for anyone in the Hunter and New England Regions to find and participate in health and medical research that is relevant and important to them. Therefore, we are seeking a person with the proven ability to communicate in different ways for diverse audiences, to identify trends, make recommendations and influence outcomes. This role is offered part time, 4 days a week.

Reporting to the Head of Public Participation and Integration, and working with a dedicated team, this role manages the day-to-day operations of HMRI’s Research Resister. You will use customer relationship management systems, engage with Register members and make introductions between members of the public and research teams. Working with key external and internal teams, you will contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Register as a platform for supporting researchers to identify, recruit and connect with people who live with the health conditions that they research.

Key Requirements

  • Manage the daily operations of the Research Register including managing the member database, implementing the communications and engagement plan, managing workflows managing the recruitment of participants to research studies.

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Research Register as a platform for engaging with community and consumers to help build knowledge. Using data to make informed decisions and recommendations about reaching and engaging with our community.

  • Support leaders to report on efficiency and effectiveness of the research register in its intended purpose.

  • Support and collaborate with internal relevant teams to ensure integration of register data.

  • Participate in community and member engagement activities and initiatives in-person at HMRI, in our community, and online. This may involve occasional travel.

  • Maintain and develop relationships with external colleagues and organisations, working to improve recruitment to clinical research and the engagement of consumers and community members in research.
