About the role

We are currently looking for a leader to grow and manage the CAREGiver Team, whilst overseeing the smooth ongoing scheduling of care for their clients. Currently with 90 Carers in the team, there are plans for expansion, which will result in the opportunity for you to grow as they grow! In the current structure, you will have 4 direct reports to assist with the coordination and scheduling of client services and CAREGiver rosters whilst working closely with the Recruitment & Learning Facilitator to ensure you always keep a pool of suitable CAREGivers available to meet client service requirements. You will ultimately be responsible for the CAREGiver retention, performance, education and compliance.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, day-to-day you will manage the following responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruiting, training and onboarding CAREGivers
  • Updating CAREGivers on client care plans
  • Providing direct support and guidance for CAREGivers
  • Performance managing and ensuring ongoing compliance
  • Rostering quality and performance
  • Resolving roster challenges
  • Participating in planning of future staffing requirements and recruitment
  • Providing after hours on-call support (on a shared basis)
  • Occasional travel when required for in-the-field visits

About you

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Compassion about helping others
  • Experience in providing leadership and support for busy teams
  • Commercial maturity
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Success at optimising processes or scheduling
  • Rostering and recruitment experience ideal
  • Aged care industry experience desirable but not essential
