Our client is a leading global specialist uniquely placed to providing customers with premium flooring solutions for residential and commercial applications. Known for their innovation and forward thinking, they have an extensive and loyal network of customers which include 1000's of architects, interior designers and builders.

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the purpose of this hands-on role is to provide accurate and timely accounting, analysis and reporting support to the small Finance team, while ensuring integrity of information systems and compliance with accounting procedures and legislative requirements. Day to day you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Assist with monthly management account preparation for various entities
  • Review of Trial balance and ledgers to maintain account integrity
  • Assist with Budget preparation
  • Day to day accounts payable & receivable functions
  • Daily Bank Reconciliations
  • Monitoring of accounts incoming emails to action
  • Processing debtor account applications
  • Compliance completion payroll, workers compensation, FBT & ASIC
  • Assistance in preparation of BAS, IAS & GST processing
  • Maintain of Fixed Asset register
  • Accounting prepayment management and general journals
  • Maintain and store account correspondence files
  • Contribute to process improvement and Policy & Procedure implementations
  • Adhoc reporting via Exo and Clarity reports to support the business

About you

Ideally the successful candidate will have commercial experience or be an Intermediate / Senior in a Public Practice or Business Advisory role looking for a commercial opportunity. Someone who is inquisitive, can hit the ground running, collaborate across divisions, is confident in leading a team, and focused on ongoing innovation and process improvement. Someone who is always wanting more and looking for ways to add value where possible. The ideal candidate will also possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in either Accounting or Commerce
  • CPA/CA designation
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in an accounting role
  • Strong PC skills and an Excel expert
