Hunter Water Corporation (HWC) operates on a commercial basis providing water, sewerage and stormwater services to the lower Hunter. They are currently seeking a customer focused, technically minded individual to join their Control Centre team, initially on a 12-month temporary basis, with a view to permanency for the right candidate. The control centre is primarily responsible for the monitoring of HWC assets using the telemetry system, identifying potential risks and initiating and processing work undertaken by field staff.
The main duties of the role involve:
- Monitoring performance of corporation's assets
- Responding to customer enquiries
- Dispatching jobs to relevant personnel
- Responding to enquiries from internal staff and contractors
- General administration and data entry
The centre operates on a 24/7 roster and our client requires someone with the flexibility to work day and night shifts at short notice to cover planned and unplanned leave. There will be an initial 2-3-month training period requiring the successful person to be available 20 hours per week then minimum hours post training would be 15 per fortnight with additional hours rostered as required.
We are seeking candidates with high level communication and negotiation skills with the ability to quickly pick up complex technical information through training. Substantial experience working in a high-volume call centre, dispatch or industrial environment would be looked upon favourably.
