Northern Settlement Services Ltd (NSS) was established in Newcastle in 1981 as a Migrant Resource Centre, to assist migrants & refugees in their settlement into Australian life. Close to 40 years later, NSS have expanded to 4 offices located in Newcastle, Tamworth, Armidale and the Central Coast, they employ over 60 people and have a strong volunteer network of 320+. Promoting social inclusion and productive diversity, NSS provides a range of services in the areas of settlement support, family and welfare support, aged care, youth and immigration services. Strategically you will identify further services and programs to demonstrate greater value to clients and grow additional revenue streams. Supported by a strong Board of successful businesspeople with a range of backgrounds, the incoming CEO will be the catalyst to drive the creation and delivery of new programs as well as lead the evolution of existing programs.

Your communication skills will enable you to engage with key stakeholders including various levels of government, network groups and a broad range of clients. Building the image of the organisation in the region as a responsible and strong contributor to the local community is another key component of this role.
The CEO will possess an appropriate degree of financial acumen in order to provide effective management of financial resources through efficient reporting, budget development and the management of costs to deliver required revenues and growth. You will also have operational and statutory management experience which ensures compliance with government funding requirements. Tertiary qualifications in Business or a related field are highly desirable.
