Our client, a successful, locally run plumbing business who primarily provide plumbing and sewerage service to McDonald Jones Homes is seeking an experienced Administrator / Accounts Assistant. This is a permanent, part time opportunity, approximately 20 hours per week with flexibility on when the hours can be performed, perfect for accommodating school pick up and drop off!
To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter who enjoys working autonomously. The objective of this role is to allow the owners to step back from the administrative functions of the business, so we are looking for someone who is invested in the operation, who instils confidence while still being down to earth and friendly!
General duties of the role will include:
- General administration
- Book jobs with Fair Trading
- Safe work method statements
- Payroll (5 staff)
- Accounts Payable / Receivable
- Account reconciliations
This is just an outline of basic functions of the role. Further to this we are seeking is someone who can come into the business and make the role their own, reviewing processes and systems and making suggestions to streamline the administrative side of the business! We are ideally seeking someone experienced with Reckon however this is not essential if you have experience in another accounting package.
