Their HR and Safety function plays a critical role in achieving this, working closely with internal teams and host employers to ensure safety outcomes are practical, effective and aligned with legislation.
The Role
As Safety Advisor, you’ll be part of a central HR & Safety team, supporting safety outcomes across a geographically spread workforce.
This role is not site-based. Instead, you will work closely with field teams and host employers, providing guidance, reviewing risks, supporting incident management and ensuring systems are continuously improving.
You’ll be involved in a mix of injury management, incident investigation, reporting and process improvement, with the opportunity to contribute to how safety is delivered across the organisation.
About You
You’re practical, solutions-focused and comfortable working across a range of environments where safety maturity can vary. You know how to balance compliance with real-world application and can build strong working relationships without needing to take a heavy-handed approach.
You’ll bring
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or higher
Experience in a Safety Advisor or similar role
Strong incident investigation and injury management capability
Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and environments
Confidence in providing clear, practical safety advice
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Solid Microsoft Office skills and confidence working with reporting and data
Key Responsibilities
Manage incoming safety enquiries, inspections and incident reporting
Lead and support incident investigations and corrective actions
Coordinate injury management and liaise with insurers and providers
Maintain the WHS risk register and support risk management activities
Provide guidance to internal teams and host employers on safety matters
Contribute to reporting, data analysis and board-level insights
Review and improve policies, procedures and safety systems
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation
