We’re currently working with several clients located across the Newcastle region who are looking for experienced professionals with a range of experience from payroll officer to coordinator level to join their teams.  Opportunities are available in both temporary and permanent capacities. 
About the roles 
The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate experience in a high-volume environment while managing multiple deadlines, as day to day your role will include but not be limited to: 

  • Maintaining payroll records and processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll for employees  

  • Preparation and payment of adjustments to payroll as required 

  • Processing superannuation payments and all administration functions associated 

  • Processing and deductions and manging reimbursements from insurers when required  

  • Maintaining time and attendance of employees  

  • Provide payroll information and updates to management when requested  

About you 
As well as being experienced in the above areas, you will possess outstanding communication skills and be professional in your approach, as well as possess the following: 

  • Experience within a similar position working within accounting support roles 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of awards, payroll tax, superannuation and payroll legislation 

  • Refined interpersonal and communication skills  

  • Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) skills 

  • High attention to detail and accuracy and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times 

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
