About the role
This role is for a part-time payroll officer on a 6-month fixed term contract and will see you working with the team in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
As a Payroll Officer you will be an integral part in ensuring our employees and host employers experience a high level of customer service.As part of the payroll team, you will also be responsible for:
Check payroll information (timesheets) submitted online and processing payroll for apprentices and trainees
Entering new employees in the payroll system
Check and process all aspects of apprentice and trainee payroll including back pays, charges and termination pays
Assist with month end procedures such as superannuation and payroll tax
Coordinate apprentice change of year systems
About you
The ideal candidate will possess:
Proven background in Payroll of up to 100 staff
Understanding of different awards and agreements
Exposure to large payroll systems, Astute experience is highly desirable but not essential
Practical experience in payroll month end processing
Be proactive and be able to assist the team as a whole
Have good customer service and communication skills
