About the Opportunity

This is a key HR leadership role with a strong focus on Industrial Relations, leadership capability and workforce development.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will provide practical IR guidance while working closely with leaders to build capability and improve day-to-day people outcomes in line with business needs.

This is a hands-on, onsite role operating across multiple sites within the group. You will be embedded in the business, partnering with leaders and teams to drive consistency, strengthen capability and improve how people are managed across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical IR guidance across performance, conduct and employee matters

  • Support performance and conduct matters end-to-end, including more complex and sensitive cases

  • Coach leaders to confidently manage people, performance and conversations

  • Drive consistent and fair people practices, with a focus on early intervention and risk management

  • Improve HR processes and systems to create a more consistent and efficient approach

  • Strengthen recruitment, onboarding and overall hiring outcomes

  • Support workforce capability planning, including development pathways and bench strength

  • Embed consistent, values-led behaviours across the organisation

About You

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in a similar HR Manager role

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline

  • Strong Industrial Relations knowledge and experience is essential

  • Ability to apply IR in a practical, balanced and people-focused way

  • Well rounded HR background with experience across development and capability uplift

  • Proven experience coaching and influencing leaders in operational environments

  • Experience working within non-corporate or heavy industry environments such as construction, manufacturing, logistics or similar

  • Comfortable operating in hands-on, site-based environments rather than corporate settings

  • Passion for developing people, improving culture and lifting capability

  • Strong communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
