About the company
Our client, Havwoods Australia, is a leading global specialist uniquely placed to provide customers with premium flooring solutions for residential and commercial applications. Known for their innovation and forward thinking, they have an extensive and loyal network of customers which include 1000’s of architects, interior designers and builders. With their headquarters in Rutherford we are currently seeking a full-time Finance Officer to join their Finance team.
About the role
Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will support the Finance team to complete the day-to-day accounts processing, transactional requirements and ongoing compliance related tasks in a timely manner.
Day-to-day you will have the following primary responsibilities:
Reconciliation of company bank accounts & corporate credits cards
Processing of daily sales invoices
Accounts Receivable including debtor reconciliations
Liaise with Debtors for overdue payments.
Accounts Payable including daily creditor entry
Foreign exchange -international supplier payments
Daily monitoring of accounts email account
Processing of debtor account applications
Assist with the preparation of the weekly payroll (currently outsourced)
Assist with preparation of Workers Compensation and payroll tax compliance
Assist with end of month reconciliations
Assistance with Human Resource documentation
Implementation of Policies and Procedures
About you
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Demonstrative 3- 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience with MYOB Exonet or equivalent accounting software
Intermediate/High Level in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Meticulous self-discipline and motivation in adhering to deadlines
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a small finance team
Integrity and confidentiality of company records maintained
Well-presented and professional
This role is a full time role, based in the Rutherford office with flexible working arrangements available after sufficient training and onboarding is completed.
