About the Opportunity
The Finance Business Partner – Programs & Philanthropy (Funding) is responsible for supporting HMRI Research Programs and the HMRI Philanthropy Team through the financial management of Program and Philanthropy funding. This role also provides operational support to the Funding and Analysis Lead, across a range of strategic projects and operational tasks to deliver outcomes and benefits related to the organisation’s strategic objectives. This role is responsible for fostering strong relationships and excellent customer service with researchers, partners, the community and the wider HMRI organisation.
This role will partner with the HMRI Philanthropy team to develop a deep understanding of philanthropic funding and grant allocation processes, ensuring that accurate and up-to-date data is always available to the Philanthropy and wider HMRI team.
The Finance Business Partner (Funding) will also work closely with Research Programs leaders and support staff to ensure appropriate funding allocations and that grants are used in-line with both internal and external funding requirements.
Key Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification and / or relevant experience
CPA, CA or other post graduate finance related qualifications; or working towards these qualifications
Advanced level of MS Excel, analytical abilities, demonstratable accounting experience and exceptional customer service skills.
The role is full-time until 30th September 2024 on a fixed-term contract based on the current funding model (with the possibility of renewal subject to funding). A competitive salary, based on skills and experience, includes attractive salary packaging tax-free benefits available to all HMRI staff.
