About the opportunity
Following the appointment of a new CEO to the organisation in late 2020, the team at Carrie’s Place is excited by the future and the many ways in which they can positively impact the lives of their clients. An integral part of sustainable change and growth will be the appointment of the Executive Officer role into the organisation, for the first time.
The Executive Officer will assist the CEO to position Carrie’s Place for opportunities in which it can compete effectively for funding, become quality accredited, and become an employer of choice to retain the most talented employees. As a main point of contact for the CEO, the Executive Officer will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and be involved across the organisation with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. The position extends to providing high level secretarial services to the CEO.
The role of Executive Officer will:
Design, develop and implement a business excellence program, encompassing fit for purpose policy, records management and governance frameworks to achieve quality standards and accreditation
Ensure that Carrie’s Place compliance environment is of a sustainably high standard to build a strong reputation and attract funders
Work closely with the CEO to identify grant and funding opportunities that align with business strategy
Project manage grant submissions by allocating required tasks of other internal stakeholders and ensure timely collation of information in readiness for submission
Assist with implementation of successful grants awarded into Carries Place, focusing on ensuring compliance with reporting requirements to external stakeholders
Manage corporate services and administration team members, and provide secretarial and support services to the CEO and Governance Committee
We are seeking the expertise of an Executive Officer who can provide the organisation with the confidence that their exceptional skills and experience in creating and implementing governance and business excellence frameworks will make a difference….and be an extremely effective ‘wing person’ to the CEO at the same time! Your prior experience in grant writing and grant management will be well received.
