About the Organisation

Hunterlink is a nation-wide proactive employee assistance program (EAP) provider to many industries. Whilst being an EAP provider, they also offer comprehensive workshops and training programs to develop their clients’ team in emotional intelligence, workplace and leadership skills. About the role

Hunterlink’s counsellors provide counselling over the phone, video and face to face, to Hunterlink’s EAP clients. Counselling is available for the client’s employees and their families and involves helping clients through their presenting workplace or personal issues in a safe, confidential and encouraging environment.
  
As a counsellor with Hunterlink you will provide a clear clinical plan with strategies and resources to address and resolve presenting issues and you will always provide appropriate counselling services in line Hunterlink’s Policies and Procedures.

Ideally, we are seeking:

  • professional, diplomatic, empathetic and discreet counselling professionals

  • proven experience building rapport and trust and managing sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality

  • people focused with a genuine desire to provide high quality support and to build trusting  relationships

  • ability to work in a harmonious team environment where everyone is supported and respected

  • commitment to assist and care for all clients

  • demonstrated ability to prioriste work and manage competing demands

  • commitment to process improvement, and a desire to strive for high quality outcomes

  • a Diploma of Counselling is essential, and qualifications in psychology, social work are desirable

  • ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional counselling role

  • relevant registration is a must (ACA or PACFA)

We are keen to speak to people who are seeking either a part time or full time position and we are interested in hearing from individuals seeking non-standard hours (eg ability to cover evening shifts). There is a potential requirement to include after hours and weekend support on a rotating roster, depending on hours worked.
