About the role
The position is a newly created and an additional resource for the Finance Team. You will report to the Finance Manager and be mentored for career growth by both the Finance Manager and CFO.
The role of Accountant will be varied, and you will support the business by undertaking functions across both management and financial accounting. No two days will be the same!
Functions and responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:
Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and 3 years business plan
Preparing rolling forecasts throughout the year
Assisting with end of month accounting including general reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
Working with other members of the Finance Team to resolve actions arising from internal and external budgets
Performing a range of maintenance and business improvement tasks, in a support capacity, including finance system upgrades and improvements to the payroll system
About you
The position is perfectly suited to an Accountant with 2-3 years’ experience and looking for that next step to expand their commercial experience. Candidates currently working in chartered accounting and wanting to step into a commercial accounting role are also encouraged to apply. We are seeking applicants who have completed an under-graduate qualification in Commerce or Accounting and have a desire to achieve CA or CPA status, if not already achieved.
