peoplefusion Directors Ali and Sally grew up streets apart in the Hunter region and knew each other as kids at the same school. With such a strong history in the region they are passionate about giving back to the community and have developed a number of relationships that are close to their heart.
Our love and support for Camp Quality stems from the tragic death of Ali’s nephew Harry Meyn, who passed away in 2007 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. Camp Quality supports the family and loved ones of children with cancer. Our work with such an inspirational organisation reminds us not to sweat the small stuff, keeps us grounded and puts everything into perspective.
Ali's nephew, Harry Meyn was a beautiful, active little boy who passed away at the age of seven, just seven months after the shock diagnosis of a brain tumour. But his death was not in vain. The Harry Meyn Foundation officially opened Harry’s House in December 2011 as a retreat for families with children living with cancer or for families grieving the death of a child to cancer. It relies on the generous support of the local community.
Hunter Medical Research Institute
HRMI is a unique partnership between Hunter New England Health, the University of Newcastle and the community, providing a strong voice for health and medical research in our region.
Ronald McDonald House
Ronald McDonald House Newcastle helps families throughout Northern NSW who have a sick or injured child be together, because when families are together, they cope better. Each year they give around 700 families a "home away from home" providing comfort, support and resources just steps from their child in hospital. As a 100% community owned and operated charity, they rely on the support of the community to help provide families with an oasis of comfort in a sea of chaos.
If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to Ronald McDonald House via their Workplace Giving Program, please download the application form here.
Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service
The WRHS is a huge part of the Hunter community, and has been saving lives since 1975. The world-class operation does an outstanding job and we are proud to support it.
